Mola user: Eric Fagerheim

Eric Fagerheim is a photographer based in Norway where he runs his company www.fotofashion.no.

»I enjoy all types of photography from fashion, composite images to weddings, I find challenges in them all.

I have been shooting for more than five years now, and always try to make my images unique. My style often comes from how I light my set, more time spent lighting means less time editing. My rule is that one image shouldn’t take more than an hour to edit. The past two years I’ve spent studying 3D graphics, so that I can implement new elements into my images.

Beside shooting I do run some occasional workshops concentrating on fashion style.

I use my Mola DEMI 22″ for almost every shoot and often combine other modifiers. I find my Mola gives me soft light and contrast as well, which gives my images that extra punch. It’s great for close up beauty shots and full body. It’s is a very important tool.«

Wanting

Luis Aragon is a DC based fashion and beauty photographer and cofounder of studio400, a 3,000 sf. photography studio in Lorton, VA. Together with his wife Kathy Aragon, a hair stylist and make-up artist they began to build a clean yet »raw« esthetic that got them both recognized quickly by major agencies in New York. The work they produced together really reflected the best of their models.

Today, Luis maintains a reputation for understanding the delicate balance needed to create a quality beauty image or details and mood needed to help his advertising clients bring their brand to the next level.

All images were taken with the Mola Demi – White.

Motion meets Flash

By Michael Corsentino, excerpt from Shutter Magazine October 2013

»Mola Softlights beauty dishes are a lot like love – hard to define but you know you’d be lost without it! From soft to hard, and specular to diffuse the Demi provides crisp, gorgeous light with a bit of sizzle in all the right places. A go to modifier that’s easily transportable with enough spread to get the job done, the Demi is a winner!« (Michael Corsentino)

Mola user: Fiona Quinn – M2 Desert Sun

New Zealand Fashion photographer, Fiona Quinn is back! Today she brings us a gorgeous editorial she shot for New Zealand’s M2 Magazine, titled ‘Desert Sun’. In this outdoor shoot she uses a single white 22″ Mola Demi beauty dish with her Hensel lighting.

I get asked a lot about my location lighting with Mola as its more subtle than a lot of people are used to seeing with location lighting – that is the beauty of Mola as it’s both clean, contrasty and soft at the same time; if that even makes sense and its very easy to use it to work with the natural light rather than competing against it

Fiona Quinn – www.fionaquinn.co.nz and her thoughts on the shoot here.

Mola user: Ralph Man – Beamm shoot

German Photographer Ralph Man, brings us a lovely shoot today using the 33″ Mola Beamm softlight. Although we have quite a few Beamm’s out there, we seldom see photos from this unique modifier. It’s polished interior gives it a more concentrated and directional light, unlike any of the other larger Mola range. We love the direction and styling in this shoot…
